Most refractors come supplied with a dewshield but adding one to other telescopes can improve image contrast, stop dew from falling on exposed optical surfaces, and provide some protection from prying fingers if your astronomy is a group activity. Maksutovs and SCT type designs benefit most from this accessory.
Flexible dew shields are very practical and can be rolled up or laid flat for storage/transportation. They are of plastic construction and usually felt-lined.
Rigid dew shields are heavier, being of metal construction, and take up more space in storage. But they can be fully-baffled to minimise stray light and are generally easier to affix in position.If you do not see exactly what you require then please contact Simon on (020) 7935 2580
